Food for Freedom Food Drive 5/25/2013 - 5/26/2013

Memorial Day weekend

Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26

Holy Family encourages your participation in this community wide food drive.

 

Help us fill the trucks!

Drop off your donations at the parish office by Friday noon, May 24 or bring them along to Mass at any of our church sites the weekend of May 25 and May 26.

 

Items collected – No Glass Containers

Peanut butter, jelly, soup, tuna, canned fruit and vegetables, meals in a can, canned pasta meals, noodles, oatmeal and cereals, bags and boxes of rice.

 

Volunteers are needed at Holy Family sites!

May 18 and 19: Help hand out brown grocery bags after all the Masses.

May 25 and May 26: Help is needed at our church sites to collect food items and to deliver donations to Fond du Lac High School.

Memorial Day Masses 5/27/2013

The regular 7:00 am Mass at Sacred Heart will instead be at 8:00 am at Sacred Heart for the observance of Memorial Day. There will also be 9:00 am Masses at St. Charles Cemetery and Ledgeview Cemetery.

 

Offices Closed

The Holy Family office will be closed on Monday, Memorial Day, May 27. We will open on our regular schedule on Tuesday at 7:30 am.



Milwaukee Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women Convention (MACCW) 5/30/2013

“COME AND SEE” is the theme for the 93rd Annual MACCW Convention to be held at Holy Family Catholic Community in Fond du Lac. All are welcome, we are saving a place for you! Join us on Thursday May 30 at 5:00 pm for a social hour followed by a Banquet and entertainment by City Lights Barbershop Quartet in the Holy Family Hall. Cost for Thursday is $30.00 and includes beverages / appetizers, the banquet and entertainment.

 

Friday begins at 8:00 am with registration and continental breakfast. The Keynote speaker is Archbishop Listecki, followed by Mass and lunch. The afternoon speaker is Lisa Paul, author of “Swimming in the Daylight” and is one of Catholic Herald's 10 most inspiring Catholics for 2011. Cost for Friday is $25.00 and includes lunch and materials or $50.00 for both days – a savings of $5.00!

 

Vendors will be present both days and there will be opportunities to win raffle baskets. Make checks payable to MACCW and send to P.O. Box 756, Elm Grove, WI 53122. Holy Family Christian Women 5/30/2013 - 6/3/2013

The next meeting will be held June 3. Mass in Holy Family church at 6:00 pm followed by dinner in Holy Family Hall. Cost of the dinner is $10.00 and can be paid that night. Baptism Preparation 6/1/2013

Call the parish office to schedule baptism. New and expectant parents, as well as godparents, are required to attend a baptism preparation class. The next classes will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 10:00 am in Holy Family Hall.

Corpus Christi Processions 6/2/2013

Join us in the procession of the Blessed Eucharist following the 9:30 am and noon Masses on June 2 at St. Mary church. All are invited and a special invite is extended to this year's First Communicants who are asked to attend wearing their white garments.

Trustee Election 6/14/2013

We currently have an opening for 1 parish trustee. Any registered member of Holy Family who is a practicing Catholic and over the age of 25 is eligible to be a nominee for parish trustee. Nominees must submit a written nomination form, signed by at least 10 parish members, to the parish office no later than noon on Friday, June 14 to be included in the trustee election. As of now, Joe Stephany, long-time parish member and accountant is the only nominee. If Joe remains the only candidate, he will be appointed trustee by the pastors. Holy Family Blood Drive 6/15/2013

The next Holy Family sponsored Blood Drive will take place on Saturday, June 15 from 7:30 – 11:30 am in Holy Family Hall.

Our Lady Gate of Heaven Visit 6/22/2013 - 6/23/2013

Saturday June 22 and 23:Join together with our Chicago sister parish (The GATE).

 

Saturday, June 22: Saturday includes a welcome and lunch at noon, participation in the Juneteenth event at Forest Mall, Mass at 4:15 pm at Holy Family Church and concludes with a meal and social in the narthex.

 

Sunday, June 23: Sunday begins with Mass at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church and concludes with a meal and social in the Sacred Heart Center.

Special Mass 6/23/2013

The newly-ordained Fr. Gabriel (Damian) Rach and his family invite you to celebrate Mass at Holy Family church on Sunday, June 23 at 10:15 am. Fr. Gabriel is the first priest to be ordained from the Fond du Lac area in more than 30 years! He's also a St. Mary's Springs Academy graduate (1993). A reception will follow in the parish hall and all are invited to attend.

 

Fr. Gabriel is an Augustinian Canon and was ordained on December 30, 2012 by Bishop William Murphy of Rockville Center, NY, at the Abbey Parish in Klosterneuburg, Austria.

 

Fr. Gabriel currently serves as Parochial Vicar for St. Patrick and St. Rocco parishes in Glen Cove, NY.

Vacation Bible School 2013 8/12/2013 - 8/16/2013

Be part of God's kingdom at Holy Family's Vacation Bible School Kingdom Rock. At Kingdom Rock, kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, experience epic Bible adventures and learn from the Bible Memory Buddies how to stand strong.
